Purple Sapphire

    Filter

Purple sapphire appears to be a combination of blue (titanium and iron) sapphire and ruby (chromium). There are also a series of color change sapphire, doped with vanadium and differing levels of chromium, that on average looks purple. We also offer a very pale lilac czochralski sapphire that we classify as purple, although it is also borderline pink.

Purple flame fusion sapphire, like blue sapphire, contains a blue rim around the boule and purple center. This can be used strategically to create interesting looking effects.
