🌍 GENERAL MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
- Material Name:FF Green
- Country of Origin : Russia
- Growth Method: Flame Fusion
This is a truly unique cobalt-doped flame fusion sapphire, believed to be grown in Russia. The crystals stand out for two reasons: they are not split, although some internal strain is noticeable when cutting them, and they are covered with blue cobalt aluminate due to surface oxidation. While this material can produce incredibly vivid green gemstones, it is highly variable, often containing cobalt aluminate internal crystals. We are eager to work with more of this material because, at its best, it can rival the color of djeva78 but on a much larger scale. Moreover, we have yet to encounter any Czochralski green sapphire crystals that match the saturation levels or vividness of this material.
🏭 SPECIFIC Lot INFORMATION
This material is rare on the market due to its high price and low yield. Growing cobalt-doped flame fusion sapphire involves variability, often resulting in cobalt aggregating into cobalt aluminate crystal inclusions.
